IT Assistant - Full Time, Bury St Edmunds
We are looking to recruit an experienced and ‘hands on’ IT expert to help manage the Company’s various IT functions. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing our retail management system, Swan, providing first line support and training to our staff. You will maintain all of the Company’s IT infrastructure (servers, networking equipment, hardware and all associated software) and will also be involved in, among other things, telecommunications, security equipment and our websites. Knowledge of SQL reporting and VB would be advantageous. This is a varied role which requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will interact and support all areas of the business, from sales and warehousing to accounts and the Board of Directors.

Commercial Sales Surveyor- Full Time, Bury St Edmunds
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and competent sales representative to join our successful Commercial Interiors division. The majority of our work involves the supply and installation of flooring and business-to-business experience would be advantageous, however full training will be given to the correct person. The role involves on-site visits, measuring and estimating and day-to-day project management. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to begin a long and rewarding career at Glasswells.  

Cleaner – Part Time, Ipswich
We are looking for a self-motivated cleaner to join our busy team responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness expected at our Ipswich showroom. 16 hours per week, which may include weekends.

Carpet Sales Adviser - Full Time, Ipswich
A full-time position where the ability to engage with customers is key, you will be sales focussed and highly motivated. The job will involve visiting customers’ homes to take measurements and the creation of accurate estimates using our in-house estimating system.

Receptionist – Full Time, Ipswich
We are looking for a confident administrator to work on our customer facing Reception desk. You will have excellent communication skills, an outgoing personality and the ability to work well as part of a team.  This varied role includes dealing with customer enquiries, both in store and over the telephone, processing orders on our in house computer system, taking payments and handling cash, arranging deliveries, plus general post and filing duties. A good level of I.T. skills are required. This job will include working weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Catering Assistant - Part Time, Bury St Edmunds
We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our busy Place to Eat Restaurant in our Bury St Edmunds store; experience preferred, but not essential. Saturdays, 9.00am - 5.30pm.

Trainee Flooring Fitter - Full Time, Bury St Edmunds
We are looking for a practical minded individual to join our busy floor fitting team, operating from our Carpet Warehouse in Bury St Edmunds. You will work alongside and assist one of our existing carpet fitters, gaining on the job experience, as well as attending a number of external courses to develop your skills further. You will need to demonstrate good problem solving skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately, following plans and instructions that have been provided to you. The job is physically demanding and involves heavy lifting. You will need a polite and pleasant manner as you will be interacting with our customers within their homes. The work ranges from fitting carpets and sheet vinyl, to laying laminate or solid wood floors, you will prepare rooms for installation and be responsible for cleaning up at the end of the job. The training period normally takes two years, after which you will be ready to begin working on your own.

7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver – Temporary with immediate start, Bury St Edmunds
We require a delivery driver to undertake deliveries and assemble various furnishings within customers’ homes throughout East Anglia.  Furniture handling experience and fork lift truck capability would be welcome but not essential.  A clean driving licence is necessary and must be up to date with Driver CPC training.
