Glasswells Invest in more New Technology

Home furnishings store Glasswells have invested in a new innovation in their carpet and flooring department that it set to totally enhance customers' buying experience.

Called Masterpiece, the tailored software system, will aid Glasswells' team of carpet and flooring estimators by allowing them to provide on-the-spot quotations for customers (the clever system simply turns measurements into accurate quotations much faster).

Historically the Glasswells' team has calculated everything by hand, yet this new system automates many aspects and therefore saves time allowing customers quotations to be created quicker and, as the information is held on the system, any changes to specification can easily be accommodated and re-quoted.

In addition, reassurance is provided in the form of a visual representation of the floor plan, demonstrating that the most efficient use of the materials are being utilised to fit the available room space.

The software has also been designed to ensure that Glasswell's customers are getting the best value for their money, without comprising on quality. This, coupled with the ease and flexibility of use, ensures that customers are benefiting from the most economical ways of creating a new look for their home.

And, in fact the more complicated the shape of the room or even staircase is, the more the service comes into its own thanks to the intuitive nature and capacity to easily handle and calculate even the most tricky of corners.

Leading this innovation within Glasswells Ipswich is Craig Hollis, who is part of the Glasswells carpet fitting team, and he spoke about the new addition: "This new tool has completely revolutionised the way in which we conduct our quotations. Improved speed, coupled with a more reliable and accurate system, ensures that we are always providing a flexible and efficient service to our customers."

Taking just few minutes per room, the estimators use a tablet to input the data. Commenting on the investment, Managing Director Paul Glasswell, said: "We are celebrating their 65th anniversary this year, and we have never been afraid to invest in technology to ensure we are always ahead of the game. Not only will this service benefit our own carpet fitting department, it will also enhance our customers' experiences. Anyone who experiences our new service will certainly be impressed with the results."
