Reception Manager | Full Time | 37.5 hours per week

Glasswells is the biggest home department store in East Anglia, with shops in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Haverhill, and Saffron Walden. We offer a wide range of quality home furnishings and flooring products to our customers across East Anglia.

We are looking for a confident and friendly person to join the Reception team in our Ipswich Store.

This is a full-time position, working five days per week (7.5 hours per day) including alternate weekends on a rota basis. You will also be required to work on some public holidays.

Working hours are Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 6.00pm and Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Responsibilities include:

• Dealing with customer enquiries in store, over the telephone, and online.
• Processing orders on our in-house computer system.
• Taking payments and handling cash.
• Arranging deliveries.
• General administrative duties.
• A good level of IT Skills are required.

Furniture Sales Adviser | Full Time

We have an opening in our Ipswich store for an experienced and highly enthusiastic Sales Adviser to join our Furniture sales team.

The ideal candidate will be motivated to achieve sales targets and have:

• An impressive track record within a sales environment with the ability to maximise personal sales and meet individual targets.
• The ability to maximise in-store promotions.
• A flair for engaging with customers.
• The ability to offer advice and assistance to ensure the customer enjoys their entire Glasswells shopping experience.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Greeting and assisting customers in store
• Answering and following up on instore, phone and website enquiries
• Preparing quotations
• Taking orders in person and over the phone
• Maximising add-on sales
• Using the company sales programme to process and progress orders. Full training will be given on our company systems and procedures
• Maintaining showroom standards, keeping the department tidy and appealing

We are looking for experienced carpet fitters to work on a self-employed basis in the Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Haverhill and Saffron Walden areas. We need carpet fitting experts and some ability to fit hard floors could be beneficial. We are looking for fitters who can offer the high quality standards associated with Glasswells and your own vehicle and tools will be required.

We are looking for experienced LVT flooring fitters to work on a self-employed basis in and around the Ipswich area. We need an experienced person to fit carpets, luxury vinyl and possible hard flooring (woods, laminate) who can offer the high quality standards associated with Glasswells.
