Homewares Sales Adviser | Temporary | 3 Month Contract

We have a number of vacancies for a multi skilled sales adviser(s) to work within our Gifts, Lighting and Homewares Departments.  Applicants will have a passionate and enthusiastic approach to home furnishings and will be confident, flexible and approachable, with a cheerful and willing attitude to assist our valued customers.  Previous experience of sales and merchandising would be advantageous, however full training will be given to the correct person(s).

Facilities Manager | Full Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

We are looking for an experienced multi-site Facilities Manager to oversee our large property portfolio, which includes our own shops and warehouse, as well as a number of commercial rental properties that have tenants in situ. Glasswells is a family run business, with many different faculties. You will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relations to buildings and premises and will need to be highly organised, work well under pressure and enjoy coordinating and planning. This role encompasses responsibility for Health and Safety compliance across all areas of our diverse retail, commercial sales, removals and storage business, so enthusiasm and a background in health and safety practices is essential.

Person Specification

– Previous facilities management experience within a corporate environment
– Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills

– BIFM qualification desirable

DRIVERS | Temporary 

Lots of families have booked removals with Glasswells this Autumn/Winter and we need a HGV class 2 and 7.5 Tonne drivers to temporarily help us move all those boxes and items of furniture. As the position involves handling valuable possessions and liaising directly with our customers, experience would be preferred. Working as part of a two-person team, you will need to be physically fit and strong to safely lift heavy household items. A clean driving licence is necessary and you must be up to date with Driver CPC training.
