Come and discover the art of a watercolour - perhaps for pure pleasure, or to satisfy your creative aspirations. Take part in our small, in-person workshops in store at Glasswells Bury St Edmunds, where learning a new craft is a perfect stress-relieving remedy.
Led by Helen Clarke, a local artist, each workshop includes all the materials needed, plus some enjoyable refreshments throughout the session, offering a delightful and relaxing learning experience in our beautiful showroom.
Both workshops are being held at our Bury St Edmunds store.
Saturday 18th October - An Autumn Hedgerow in Watercolour
Suitable for all levels of ability, this workshop will enable you to develop your watercolour techniques as you will paint the glowing colours of Autumn. Using leaves and berries as inspiration, Helen will guide you through using watercolour to create beautiful seasonal imagery. You will learn how to mix colours directly onto the paper in a loose and atmospheric way and experiment with adding texture to backgrounds.
Saturday 15th November - Wintry Scenes in Watercolour
Suitable for all levels of ability, in this workshop we will paint small scenes in a free and atmospheric way to capture the beauty of winter, which could be used as a Christmas card theme. Helen will show you how to paint a snowy landscape using a variety of watercolour techniques in a simple and effective way.
Both Sessions from 10.30am until 1.00pm
Tickets are limited and need to be booked.
All materials and refreshments are provided and the session is suitable for all levels of ability.

Delivery of furniture and larger items is carried out by Glasswells or one of its trusted suppliers and items will be put into your room of choice. Delivery of Multiple Items
We will deliver all your items together once they are in stock. If you need items that are in stock before your whole order is complete, additional delivery charges will apply. Please contact us for details.
Returns
If you notify us in writing of your wish to return an item within 14 working days of receiving it, we’ll refund you for both the purchase price and the original delivery charge; however, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item back to us. Items should be returned in their original packaging and in a fully resaleable condition.
You are unable to return any special order/custom made furniture items.
If the item is faulty you must notify us in writing and return the item within 30 days. The item must be returned for a full refund to be given.

Furniture Recycling through your Local Authority
Most furniture can be recycled at your local Recycling Centre - some may charge for this service so it is best to check in advance.
