We are looking for a part time Pot Washer, aged 18 or over, to work within our busy Place to eat Restaurant in Bury St Edmunds.

The job will primarily be washing up and keeping the area clean and tidy, and helping out in the kitchen when needed.

Every other weekend

Hours:

Saturday 11am-4pm

Sunday, 11am-4pm.

Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Digital Marketing Executive | Full Time

We require a Digital Marketing Executive to join our busy marketing department at Bury St Edmunds. The role is office based, 37.5 hours a week.

Job Summary

Are you a performance-driven digital marketer with a passion for PPC? Your focus will be on driving measurable results, including: increasing footfall to our four physical retail stores, supporting in-store sales, generating high-quality leads, driving traffic to our websites, growing online sales revenue and boosting brand awareness.

You’ll work across Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max and Video), Meta, Microsoft Advertising (Bing), and LinkedIn. You will be resposible for setting up campaigns, allocating budgets, using data and testing to continually improve campaign performance.

This role is ideal for someone analytical, curious and commercially minded, who enjoys problem-solving, optimising campaigns and improving efficiency through data-led decision making.


What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 1 year's hands-on campaign management across Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Technical knowledge of Google Ads Manager, Google Ads Editor, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager and Excel or Sheets. 
  • Understanding of core marketing principles, online advertising concepts, bidding strategies, targeting methods and best practices.
  • Experience using reporting and visualisation tools, such as Looker Studio.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Run multi-channel Paid Media campaigns across Google, Meta, Bing and LinkedIn.
  • Manage day-to-day campaign performance, testing and optimisation.
  • Drive high-quality traffic to our physical retail locations and websites.
  • Monitor and improve conversion rates and overall campaign efficiency.
  • Produce clear performance reports, insights and recommendations.
  • Website and landing page optimisation to improve ad quality.
  • Staying up-to-date with training, search engine algorithm updates, digital tools, creative campaign techniques and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

Google Ads Certified or higher education in a marketing-related subject is preferred, but not essential.

Nice to Have:
Additional experience in any of the following would be advantageous, but not essential: graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, video creation and editing (including Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects), SEO/GEO, platforms such as SEMrush and Google Search Console, HubSpot or other CRM systems.

We are looking for a part time Catering Assistant to work in our busy Place to Eat Restaurant at our Bury St Edmunds store. Duties include clearing tables and serving food and drinks.

Experience would be preferred, but is not essential as training is given, candidates must have good time keeping, be a team player and have a good work ethic.

Flooring Estimator & Sales Adviser - Full Time

Glasswells is the biggest home department store in East Anglia, with shops in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Haverhill, and Saffron Walden. We offer a wide range of quality home furnishings and flooring products to our customers across East Anglia.

We have an opening in our Saffron Walden store for an experienced and highly enthusiastic Estimator / Sales Adviser to join our busy flooring department. Working Monday to Saturday (with one day off during the week), you will be responsible for both in-store sales and visiting customer homes to take measurements.

The ideal candidate will be sales focused, have excellent customer communication skills and:

  • A positive attitude and motivation to achieve target sales
  • Strong attention to detail (measuring and preparing quotations)
  • The ability to engage with customers both in store and in their homes
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Experience in sales
  • A flooring background would be advantageous, however full training will be provided.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Greeting and assisting customers in store
  • Visiting customers’ homes and taking measurements
  • Preparing comprehensive and accurate quotations using our in-house computerised estimating system and using the company sales programme to process and progress orders. (Full training will be provided on our computer systems and procedures).
  • Taking orders in person and over the phone
  • Maximising add-on sales
  • Maintaining showroom standards, keeping the department tidy and appealing
