Join us in Aid of The Furniture Makers' Company

After a two year break, the East Anglian regional fundraising event returns to Bury St Edmunds Golf club.

This event aims to raise £5,000 for the Furniture Makers’ Company, formerly known as the Furniture Industry Trust (F.I.T.). The charity offers support for anyone in need who is, or has, worked within the furniture industry, as well as providing funding to discover new talent to train and employ within our trade.

This is an excellent opportunity for your company to broadcast your name to a wide audience, while supporting this worthy cause. You are invited to organise a team of four to enter, but singles and doubles are very welcome and will be teamed up with others.

As in previous years, there will be competitions in three categories (Retailer, Supplier and Guest).  There is one round of 18 holes (Stableford) to be enjoyed. Coffee and bacon baps will be available on arrival with a buffet lunch arranged from 2.45 p.m. onwards. 

The entry fee is £65 per person, which includes green fees, refreshments, buffet lunch and gratuities. Please make cheques payable to “F.I.T.” Kindly complete the Entry Form enclosed and return it, with your remittance, as soon as possible, so that arrangements can be made with regard to starting times and catering.

Even if you are unable to come along and play, generous support for the raffle, sponsorship and one-off donations all adds to the success of the event; any assistance you can give us will be greatly appreciated.  Companies can sponsor a hole for the modest sum of £60, which will include an A3 sign with your company logo and any message you would like to add. Prizes, or monetary donations, can be forwarded to the address given above marked for the attention of my secretary, Heidi Andrade. 

I am sure you will all agree that now is the perfect time to organise a long-awaited get together with your friends and colleagues in the trade to enjoy some quality time together and a round of golf. I do hope that you are able to join us in supporting the work of this very special charity.
